Haleakala: Maui's Volcano
Wednesday night we ventured to the top of Haleakala, the volcano that forms much of Maui.
It was the kind of car ride up that made Steve a little car sick mixed in with a high altitude hike that didn't sit well with Sara. But despite our individual troubles, it was well worth it!
The views atop Haleakala are amazing. The clouds are phenomenal. Driving through them gives you views normally reserved for airplane trips.
We followed this up with a Thursday trip to the beach. Expect photos soon!

Three hour family reunion... in Hawaii
So the White family was together for the first time in over a year. We had to go to Hawaii to pull it off, and were only together for a few hours, but we managed!
Steve and Sara arrived in Hawaii today, the same day Steve's parents were leaving. We crossed paths long enough for dinner and a photo.
Steve's sister Becky and her husband Matt are in the midst of an extended stay on Maui, and it worked out for everyone to get together if only briefly.
So expect more updates and photo goodness from our trip. It was a long, but uneventful tour of airports Omaha to Denver to Honolulu to Maui.

Our Snowy Anniversary
Friday it was 65. Saturday it was dark and stormy. Saturday night it snowed. Sunday afternoon it melted.
But the weather couldn't stop us from enjoying our first anniversary!
