Memorial Weekend
This weekend we went to not one, not two, but three cook-outs. Saturday we had chicken wings, Sunday burgers with our neighbors, Monday it was polish dogs and hot dogs with Sara's family. Not bad!
Plus we got a bunch of stuff done around the house. Steve mowed in between rain and used our new weed eater. Sara a lot of stuff away and cleaned things up.
And we worked together to rearrange furniture in the living and dining room area.

Our Garden
The sun does arise,
And make happy the skies;
The merry bells ring
To welcome the Spring;
The skylark and thrush,
The birds of the bush,
Sing louder around
To the bells' cheerful sound;
While our sports shall be seen
On the echoing green.
-- William Blake
We've seen the first color in our bed of irises. Purple! A good color for a Vikings fan like me (Steve).
Sara and I also planted a small vegetable garden. Cherry tomatoes, onions, chives, cucumber. The soil seemed pretty good. And we're enjoying the underground sprinklers, even if the grass doesn't seem to stop growing.
"You're a real gardener now," Sara just said, seeing a blister on my hand. I don't know about that, but we're trying!
