Cornerstone
This week Steve is in an Illinois cornfield, for the 25th annual Cornerstone Festival. He's a staff photographer for CornerstoneFestival.com, and takes a lot of the pictures for the festival's website, brochures, promotional materians, etc.
This is Steve's 11th year at the festival. It's a Christian music festival, but definitely on the fringes, musically. There's lots of what the calls call "Screamo" if that means anything.
Among the bands this year is Flyleaf, whose song "All Around Me" is ubiquitous on radio and VH1 this summer. Plus it marks the return of Sixpence None the Richer (you know, "Kiss Me"). Others that have played in recent years include Switchfoot, Relient K, P.O.D., and hundreds of others.
I'm especially interested in seeing bands like Anberlin and Family Force 5.
I'll be posting pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/stevewhite/ and posting stories on my personal blog at http://stevewhite.blogspot.com/
So skip the heat, dust, and hardcore music. Enjoy Cornerstone from home!

Feeling Green
Be thankful if you haven't seen our hot pink room. I do mean 11-year-old-i-heart-high-school-musical pink. It's that bad. It makes our stuff look garish and gaudy. The only time I like it is at night, because there's no need to turn a light on.
Take a look.
This next picture isn't color corrected. That pink looks muted compared to reality. But it does show we've got our Hot Sun wall done.
I don't have another picture, but the rest of the room is some shade of green. I think it was called Twine. I'll show you that once we get another coat on and you can't see any pink!
